The Dave Family - Family VIP Experience (6-hrs)

My family (husband, two boys aged 14 and 22 and myself) went for the VIP family day yesterday and all I can say is WOW. Finding an activity which we all enjoy and which isn’t competitive is very difficult but this one has to be the most favourite thing we have done together ever. To say it exceeded my expectations is an understatement. Jake and Gary were full of so much knowledge and made us feel so safe around all the animals. I imagined we would be looking at the reptiles through glass, learning a bit about them and maybe holding a few for a few minutes each, how wrong I was. Jake and Gary made us so welcome and helped us interact with all of the species there, if the reptiles wanted to interact with us. Nothing was rushed, no question stupid and the safety of the animals and ourselves was always priority. We were hands on for the whole day and I don’t think any of us shut up talking either.
Thank you both for helping us create some amazing memories and for letting us join in your wonderful world of creatures even if it was only for one day. We will be back.

Simon & Conrad - Junior Reptile Keeper for the Day Experience

I honestly think Conrad has just had one of the best days of his life as a Reptile Ranger - he can’t stop talking about it and already wants to go again!
I can’t recommend the Reptile Academy highly enough - a friendly, informative family-run centre with fabulous facilities and the enthusiasm from Gary and Jake is infectious. Thank you so much for such a wonderful day.

Gold DofE Residential Participant - Parent

My son attended the Reptile Rangers residential course as part of his Gold D of E. He had an excellent, educational and sociable week, and really enjoyed learning about all the reptiles and how to care for them. Jake was a pleasure to deal with, and is clearly passionate about The Reptile Academy, and supporting young people to learn about Reptiles. I wholeheartedly recommend the Reptile Academy!

Chawton CofE Primary School

Today, Chestnut class had an incredible visit from the Reptile Academy. The children learnt all about reptiles, their habitats and food chains. Alongside this, they discussed the effect climate change was having on these creatures and what conservation was happening to protect them and ensure their survival. But best of all...the children were able to stroke and hold the different snakes and lizards - an experience they adored and will never forget!

We would like to say a great big thank you to The Reptile Academy for our visit today. Some of us have faced fears and phobias. We have had a great day and have loved holding all the reptiles. Its been a very calm atmosphere today and we can't wait to rebook for another visit. 💙🐍
